Arsenal duo ruled out of Southampton clash with injuries
Arsenal duo William Saliba and Jurrien Timber have been ruled out of the Premier League clash against Southampton on the road this weekend.
The Gunners qualified for the Champions League by beating Newcastle United last weekend and Sunday's game is a dead-rubber for them.
Despite this, manager Mikel Arteta will want to end the season on a high note.
In his pre-match presser, the Spaniard has now confirmed that the Gunners won't have the services of Saliba and Timber for the final gameweek.
Saliba picked up a hamstring injury in the opening half against the Magpies and he could be ruled out for the next two to three weeks at the least.
Timber has been playing with an ankle issue for the past few months and he has now undergone an operation to sort out the long-term concern.
The Dutchman could return to training ahead of pre-season. Arsenal will be hoping for better luck with injuries during the 2025/26 campaign.
