Mitoma to Arsenal?

Arsenal could make an approach for Brighton & Hove Albion winger Kaoru Mitoma during the summer transfer window, according to Florian Plettenberg.

The Gunners are planning to bolster their wide attacking department for next season and they are looking at different options in the transfer market.

Real Madrid's Rodrygo and Athletic Bilbao's Nico Williams have been linked, but a deal could be challenging for both due to their high wage demands.

The transfer fees could be a concern too. Madrid could demand £70m for Rodrygo. Athletic want Williams' £49m release clause to be paid in full.

Hence, the Gunners are exploring other options and it is claimed that Mitoma could be targeted by the north London giants in the coming weeks.

The 28-year-old has bagged 10 goals and four assists in the league this season. He could be signed for around £50m with his contract expiring in two years' time. Arsenal have been monitoring his progress for a while.
