Chelsea want to sign Arsenal target Viktor Gyokeres
Chelsea are now interested in signing Arsenal target Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting Lisbon this summer, according to Portuguese outlet Record.
The Blues are expected to land the signature of Liam Delap from Ipswich Town. The English striker has agreed terms and will join them in a deal worth £30 million.
Despite this, the Blues are keen on landing another marquee striker in the transfer window and they have recently joined the Gunners in the pursuit of Gyokeres.
The 26-year-old has his sights on a bigger challenge away from Sporting CP and reports claim that he could be signed for £50-54 million in the upcoming window.
Gyokeres is a priority target for Gunners sporting director Andrea Berta, but manager Mikel Arteta reportedly prefers to sign RB Leipzig star Benjamin Sesko instead.
The indecision could boost the Blues' prospects of securing a quick deal for Gyokeres. The club could seek to sign the Swede before the Club World Cup next month.
