Arsenal target Viktor Gyokeres has no plans of returning to Sporting Lisbon following a break in relationship, according to Record.

The Sweden international had a sensational 2024/25 campaign at the Portuguese champions. He scored 54 goals and provided 13 assists.

Gyokeres had a gentleman's agreement to leave for €60m plus €10m in add-ons, but this has been repeatedly dismissed by president Frederico Varandas.

Varandas has reportedly set a price tag of at least €80m as a fixed fee and as things stand, no clubs are willing to meet the figure including Arsenal.

Record now claim that Gyokeres is prepared to go on strike and he won't be returning to pre-season training in the second week of July.

He also has no plans of playing for the Lisbon giants again and he is set on pushing for a transfer away from the club in the near future.

Arsenal are closely monitoring his situation at the moment. The Gunners have him as a backup target if Benjamin Sesko does not join.
