Man Utd to target Bayern midfielder after Mbeumo deal

Manchester United are likely to focus on signing Bayern Munich midfielder Joao Palhinha following the purchase of Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford.
The Red Devils have so signed Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon this summer, and they are in advanced negotiations with Brenford for Mbeumo.
Once an agreement for Mbeumo is finalised, the Mancunian giants could focus on bolstering the defensive midfield department.
Palhinha was on United's radar during his Fulham days, and Bayern are reportedly open to sanctioning his summer departure.
The German champions recently suffered a big setback with a serious injury for Jamal Musiala, who could be ruled out for next season.
The club now need funds to reinforce the attacking department and have therefore opened the door for Palhinha's summer exit.
United could capitalise on the situation to bring Palhinha back to the Premier League. He would be an upgrade on Casemiro.
Both player have similar traits, but the Portuguese is younger than Casemiro and possesses better mobility from midfield.
