Liverpool striker on his way to Saudi Arabia?
Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez could be on his way to the Saudi Pro League in the coming days, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Uruguay international was a top target for Al Hilal at the start of the year, but Liverpool were reluctant to sanction his sale.
Nunez has since attracted interest from Serie A champions Napoli, but it appears they are about to sign Udinese's Lorenzo Lucca.
Hence, Nunez may have to move elsewhere. Romano reports that there could be fresh interest from the Saudi top flight pretty soon.
The Reds are already preparing for his departure. They have their sights on landing a marquee striker during the pre-season campaign.
Newcastle United's Alexander Isak is the priority target for the Reds, but they have Eintracht Frankfurt's Hugo Ekitike as an alternative.
The Reds have made contact with the agents of Isak this month, but the Magpies are adamant that the Swede is not going anywhere this summer.
