Bournemouth chasing Loic Bade and Jhon Lucumi
Bournemouth have contacted Sevilla with regard to a move for French centre-back Loic Bade, currently playing in La Liga with Sevilla and Jhon Lucumi, the Colombian centre-back at Serie A club Bologna. Lucumi has been in excellent form since his arrival from Belgian side Genk in 2022 and is valued at around 22 million, whilst Bade has recently made his French national team debut and would likely command a fee in excess of 35 million euros.
The Cherries' manager Andoni Iraola is seeking defensive reinforcements as Ilya Zabarnyi looks set for a Paris St Germain transfer for a fee of around 53 million euros in total, and that will free up funds to sign a replacement.
Bade will be the unlikely option of the two as there are other potential suitors for the 6 foot 3 centre-back, with Bayer Leverkusen reportedly in pole position to secure the Frenchman's transfer. Colombia international Lucumi is known to be looking for a move to the Premier League, and the player's agent has expressed a desire to wrap up a deal sooner rather than later as Bologna seek to cash in on the defender.
Lucumi offers more experience than Bade at 27-years-old, and could be available at a much cheaper price than Sevilla player Bade.
