AC Milan open talks for Chelsea duo
AC Milan have begun negotiations with Chelsea to sign Trevoh Chalobah on loan and a permanent transfer for centre-back Axel Disasi. As the Premier League outfit look to reduce the side of their squad ahead of the opening Premier League games next weekend, manager Enzo Maresca needs to sell some players to free up positions in his squad.
The Rossoneri were hoping to sign Chalobah on a permanent deal as part of a new look all English defence, partnering Chalobah with Fikayo Tomori, however the Blues want to keep Chalobah and are only open to a temporary deal. Disasi is available on a permanent basis, however, and Chelsea are open to a sale for a fee of around 25 million euros. Disasi spent some of last season at Aston Villa on a loan deal, but the club opted not to pursue a permanent transfer.
For Chalobah, who had a short spell with Crystal Palace last season, he is considered an important prospect at Stamford Bridge and is not available for transfer. He also made his England international debut this year and the centre-back is expected to therefore stay put.
AC Milan are hopeful that a transfer deal can be arranged by the middle of this week ahead of their Coppa Italia game against Bari on Sunday.
