Man Utd to rival Como for Aymeric Laporte
Manchester United are reportedly preparing a bid for Al Nassr defender Aymeric Laporte, who has been informed that he can leave Saudi Arabia amidst interest from Serie A side Como. United were defeated 1-0 at Old Trafford by Arsenal last weekend, but there were positive signs all around for Ruben Amorim's men, yet defensively the club feel they may be a little short.
With under two weeks to go until the Premier League transfer window slams shut, United are seeking at least one more defensive reinforcement, and in Laporte the club are happy to find someone that will add title winning experience.
Laporte has appeared 47 times for Al-Nassr, scoring 8 goals, and the Spaniard is said to ready to leave the Middle East for a new challenge. The 31-year-old has instructed his agent to push through a transfer, with a move to Man Utd a possibility.
The Spain defender is rumoured to have already agreed terms with Italian outfit Como, but has received a late approach from Manchester and is willing to join rivals of his former club Man City.
