Liverpool change attacking target amidst Isak saga
Liverpool have changed their transfer target to Dusan Vlahovic as a deal for Alexander Isak appears to be on the rocks, with no transfer fee agreement in sight. Newcastle and Liverpool have yet to finalise a deal as the two sides are around £20 million away in valuation for the Swedish international forward, and now the Anfield side are in contact with Juventus for Vlahovic.
The Serbian forward has long been linked with a transfer to England, with Arsenal and Chelsea linked with the 25-year-old several times over the past few years, but so far he has stayed loyal to Juventus, and scored 44 goals in 105 Serie A games in the process. Now Liverpool could make a surprise bid, as a transfer fee cannot be reached for Isak. Even more interesting is that Newcastle could also move for Vlahovic if a transfer deal is eventually completed for Isak.
Vlahovic arrived at Juventus in 2022 from Fiorentina and has had a growing reputation for being a strong finisher in front of goal, and is valued at around £60 million by the Serie A side.
