Serie A giants Napoli are interested in landing the services of Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo before the transfer window closes.

The Italian champions are already discussing the transfer of striker Rasmus Hojlund. They are close to agreeing a loan deal with an obligation to buy next summer for £40 million.

Amidst this, they are also exploring a deal for Mainoo, who has fallen out of favour under manager Ruben Amorim when it comes to the Premier League games.

He has been an unused substitute in the last two outings, and reports claim that the Red Devils won't block his departure if a suitable offer is made before the deadline.

A package of around £45m could be sufficient to secure his services. Napoli have been linked and it remains to be seen whether they are prepared to pay the reported sum.

Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are also keeping tabs on the England international, but don't plan an approach during the ongoing summer transfer window.
