Fulham have agreed a £22 million transfer deal with Chelsea to sign exceptional talent Tyrique George, as the youngster finally gets his wish to leave Stamford Bridge for a new challenge. RB Leipzig had been expected to sign George, but the player opted to stay in England.

The player had already appeared once in the Premier League this season, but club manager Enzo Maresca knew that George was likely to depart the club.

The London move sees George commit to a five-year contract, completing a swift turnaround following a brief moment on the Stamford Bridge bench.

George struggled to break into Chelsea’s increasingly crowded attack, especially after the arrivals of high-profile attackers like Jamie Gittens and Alejandro Garnacho, despite a promising season across the European Conference League. Fulham acted decisively, offering the player a more realistic path to first-team minutes, something Chelsea couldn’t guarantee with current competition levels.

He impressed in the 2024–25 campaign, highlighted by his equalizer against Fulham at Craven Cottage. Known for his pace, dribbling and bold creativity, the winger still needs consistency and defensive literacy, traits Fulham hopes to cultivate under Marco Silva’s guidance.
