Man Utd agreed secret deal for Viktor Gyokeres

Manchester United agreed a secret deal with Sporting CP for striker Viktor Gyokeres despite his desire to join Arsenal, according to his agent.
The Sweden international had a fantastic 2024/25 campaign with the Primeira Liga giants, scoring 54 goals across all competitions.
His form paved the way for a summer move to the Gunners, but Sporting CP tried their best to block his dream transfer to the London giants.
His agent Jonathan Chalkias has now revealed that Sporting concluded a deal with United behind their backs. The Red Devils offered a higher fee.
He said: "They [Sporting] had concluded a deal with Manchester United behind our backs, that was a problem. United offered a higher transfer fee."
Gyokeres was clear from the outright that he wanted to join the Gunners, and he did not change his stance despite United making a better offer.
The striker also had the opportunity to move to the Saudi Pro League amid interest from Al-Hilal, but he was adamant on joining the Gunners.
