Arsenal eyeing deal for Spanish striker?

Arsenal have been fancied to make an approach for Porto striker Samu Aghehowa at the end of the campaign, according to Teamtalk.
The Spain international has been a key player for Porto since arriving from Atletico Madrid last year. He has netted 36 goals for the club thus far.
Arsenal are reportedly among the teams monitoring his progress and it is claimed that they are leading the pursuit ahead of Tottenham Hotspur.
The Gunners are not in a desperate need for another striker. Mikel Merino has fared brilliantly in a makeshift number nine role in the last few games.
Viktor Gyokeres, Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus are expected to return from injuries soon and could have a big part to play in the coming months.
The speculation could be agent-driven rather than Arsenal initiating interest. Aghehowa could be eyeing a bigger challenge elsewhere.
If he keeps up his current run of scoring form, he should be in line for a Premier League move with another club, come the end of the season.
