Forssell joins Hannover

Mikael Forssell looks set to complete a move to German side Hannover. The Finnish international had been in discussions with Birmingham for a new deal but has decided to move to Germany.

"I am looking forward to playing for Hannover and in the Bundesliga," said Forssell.

Forssell has decided to sign a deal with Hannover worth an estimated £35,000 until 2011.

The deal comes as a big coup for Hannover, who haven't paid a penny to land the forward.
