Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has provided an injury update on Bukayo Saka following the 4-0 Premier League win over Leeds United at Elland Road.

The north London giants went into the game on a three-match winless league run, and the pressure was on the Gunners against a hard-working Leeds outfit.

However, Arsenal were simply too good for the Yorkshire outfit. They went on to score four goals and could have easily scored plenty more on the road.

Saka was initially named in the starting XI for the encounter, but the Englishman pulled up in the warm up with a hip concern.

Madueke was picked to start in his absence, and the former Chelsea man proved his credentials with two fantastic assists on the day.

Speaking after the game, Arteta said on Saka's condition: "He wasn’t comfortable to start the game, so immediately we made a decision to make that change."

Arsenal have moved seven points clear at the top of the table with the win. They will now face Chelsea in the second leg of the League Cup semi-final on Tuesday.

The Gunners have a 3-2 lead after the first leg at Stamford Bridge. They have an opportunity to make a Cup final and push for possible silverware.
