Liverpool & Chelsea want to sign Barcelona star

Liverpool and Chelsea are interested in signing Barcelona defender Jules Kounde during the next transfer window, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Frenchman has been a key player for the Catalan giants, but he could be offloaded this summer as part of the club's squad reshuffle for next season.

Kounde is likewise open to a fresh challenge away from the La Liga heavyweights, and he won't be short of offers during the off-season.

Liverpool and Chelsea are among Premier League clubs keen on landing his services. The former were keen on him prior to his switch to Catalonia.

Barcelona are likely to demand at least 50 million euros to part ways with the former Sevilla man, who has primarily played as a right-back for them.

Manchester City have also been credited with an interest in signing the versatile defender, who started his career as a specialist centre-back.

The Cityzens will only make an approach if there is a big-money exit.
