Chelsea keen on signing Newcastle United winger

Chelsea are reportedly keen on landing the signature of Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon at the end of the campaign.

The Blues signed Jamie Gittens and Alejandro Garnacho to bolster their left wing last summer, but neither of them has impressed.

Garnacho's future is uncertain beyond the summer and reports claim that the Blues could be open to offloading the Argentine too.

Amidst this, The Athletic cite that the Blues are lining up a move for Gordon, who is open to a bigger challenge away from the Magpies.

His next club won't be dependent on Champions League football. This has encouraged the Blues to enter the pursuit of his services.

Still, he is unlikely to come on the cheap and it is claimed that the Magpies could hold out for at least 80 million pounds or even more.

Arsenal and Bayern Munich are also firm admirers of the attacker, who has made almost 25 goal contributions for the Magpies this term.
