Man Utd eyeing shock move for Stuttgart midfielder

Manchester United are eyeing a surprise move for Stuttgart midfielder Angelo Stiller during the summer transfer window, according to Tuttosport.

The German has been a key player for the Bundesliga outfit, but his future is uncertain due to an affordable release clause in his current contract.

Juventus have been closely monitoring his performances over the campaign and could make a formal approach when the transfer window reopens.

However, they could face fierce competition from the Red Devils for the 25-year-old, whose buy-out clause could yet be increased by Stuttgart.

Stuttgart have the option to increase the clause from €36m to €60m by paying the midfielder a penalty fee of around €2m this summer.

In that case, the Bianconeri may struggle to compete financially with the Red Devils. United could see him as a marquee midfield signing.
