Arsenal preparing £86m bid to sign world-class striker

Arsenal are preparing to spend big money to sign Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez during the summer transfer window, according to La Nacion.
The Gunners currently have Viktor Gyokeres as their main striker. The Swede has fared well with 21 goals and three assists from 50 appearances.
Despite this, the club are targeting a potential competitor this summer, and they have identified Alvarez as the prime target to fill the position.
Gunners assistant manager Gabriel Heinze has been closely monitoring Alvarez this term and is convinced he would be an ideal striker.
Arsenal are aware they would need at least £86 million to land the talented marksman, but they must first agree personal terms with him.
Talks are already underway with the player's agents. They will make a serious move for the 26-year-old if he gives the green light.
Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain are likewise keen on the striker. Alvarez does not seem interested in moving to Ligue 1 with Les Parisiens.
