SWP to Tottenham?

There have been reports that Shaun Wright Phillips has been targetted by Tottenham boss Juande Ramos. As the Spaniard continues his summer spending spree, it seems that the Chelsea midfielder is one of his remaining targets.

It is understood that Tottenham are prepared to meet the £14 million valuation that Chelsea have placed on the talented midfielder.

Wright Phillips has found himself as a backup player in the previous reigns of Avram Grant and Jose Mourinho, and it is as yet not understood whether the new coach will see SWP as an important member of the first team squad. Whatever the outcome, Tottenham will be willing to test Chelsea's resolve.
