Liverpool to sign Koln winger after Victor Munoz

Liverpool could turn their attention to signing Koln winger Said El Mala after landing Victor Munoz from Osasuna.

The Reds recently hijacked Newcastle United's pursuit of Munoz, and he has already signed his contract with the club.

The Merseyside giants are exploring the market for another wide player and El Mala is one of the names under consideration.

RB Leipzig's Yan Diomande is the priority target for the Anfield giants, but the Bundesliga outfit could convince him to stay.

Hence, the Reds are exploring a backup plan and could intensify their pursuit of El Mala if Diomande stays put at Leipzig.

El Mala previously turned down a move to Brentford, but he could be tempted to join Liverpool due to Champions League football.

Koln were prepared to accept 50 million euros from Brentford for his services, and could be willing accept similar terms.

Aside from the German, Liverpool are monitoring Matias Fernandez-Pardo, who had a good breakout season with Lille in France.
