Portsmouth consider Vieira

Ambitious FA Cup winners Portsmouth are understood to be considering a move for France international midfielder Patrick Vieira from Inter Milan this summer in a £8 million deal.

It is understood that the player is keen to make a return to the Premiership, and with Portsmouth's close ties to Arsenal through Tony Adams and many players, the club hopes to bring in the talented midfielder for one last spell in the Premiership.

Portsmouth themselves have refused to be drawn on the speculation at this stage.
