Arsenal finally agree deal for Bruno Guimaraes

Arsenal have finally reached an agreement to sign Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes this summer, according to ESPN Brasil.

The Gunners have been locked in negotiations with Newcastle's hierarchy and are now on the verge of landing his signature from the Tyneside outfit.

ESPN Brasil claim that they have agreed an initial fee worth £70m plus £10m in add-ons to land the highly experienced midfielder from the Magpies.

Guimaraes has already finalised personal terms with the Premier League champions and he is excited about the prospect of playing for them.

It appears only a matter of time before the deal becomes official. Arsenal have already scheduled a medical for Guimaraes next week at London Colney.

Guimaraes should be a level-raiser for the Gunners, who have higher ambitions in the transfer market. They are also keen on landing Vinicius Junior.

The Real Madrid star has opened the door for a move to the Gunners if he can't find a suitable contract agreement with Los Blancos next week.
