Wigan to bid for Cisse

Wigan are reportedly interested in signing former Liverpool forward Djibril Cisse this summer. The player is desperate to return to the Premiership, and the Latics are lining up a £5 million offer.

Cisse has had a reasonably impressive year at Marseille, but has never hidden his desire to return to England one day.

It is understood by eyefootball that Marseille are looking for a figure closer to £7.5 million; and that Bolton and Man City are also interested.

Wigan are also considering a move for Reading striker Kevin Doyle.
