Arsenal striker Kai Havertz suffers hamstring injury

Arsenal striker Kai Havertz picked up an apparent hamstring injury during Germany's Nations League clash against the Netherlands tonight.

The 27-year-old has had a fine start to the season with the Gunners and he has already netted three goals in seven appearances for the club.

However, he may not play any part against Leeds United later next month, having picked up a hamstring issue against the Dutch tonight.

Havertz had his left hamstring heavily strapped prior to the game, and he went down pointing at the same to the club's doctors on the pitch.

He was ultimately taken off in the 30th minute and it remains to be seen whether he can recover in time to face Leeds on October 10.

If he is deemed unfit, Viktor Gyokeres could finally get the opportunity to start in the Premier League, something he has not done since last season.

The Swede netted 21 goals in his debut campaign last term.
