Man Utd to make Michael Carrick decision tomorrow?

Manchester United look likely to confirm the departure of Michael Carrick from the head coach position tomorrow.

The 45-year-old has been the subject of immense scrutiny over the past few months, with United failing to return to winning ways.

The Red Devils have not won in the last eight matches, and they recently suffered a humiliating 3-0 league defeat to Bournemouth.

United's hierarchy had a meeting with Carrick earlier today, and it appears they are expected to convey their decision by tomorrow morning.

As things stand, the board are leaning towards parting ways with the English tactician, with a replacement already being planned.

Former Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe is reportedly the front-runner to take charge and could do so ahead of the Chelsea game.

The Red Devils travel to Stamford Bridge to face the Blues on Saturday and it could be a huge game for the Mancunian giants.

Another loss could potentially send them into the drop zone.
