Villa cancel Barry testimonial

Aston Villa have pretty much confirmed that Gareth Barry will be likely to leave the club this summer after a news story revealed that the club have decided to scrap his testimonial that he was due this coming season.

Barry has reportedly been in talks with Rafa Benitez and Liverpool over a move to Anfield, and a fee of £14 million is understood to have been accepted.

Now Aston Villa have apparently allowed Gareth Barry to speak to the Reds, they have made the decision to withdraw Barry's testimonial from their fixture list for the coming season.
