Newcastle hunting Klasnic
Newcastle United boss Kevin Keegan has made a formal approach for Werder Bremen's want away striker Ivan Klasnic; if reports are to believed this Friday. It is understood Newcastle have made a generous offer to the player, who's contract is expiring shortly.
Klasnic had a wonderful tournament in Euro 2008, despite not even being a regular for most of the games, his prolific goalscoring abilities were often on display.
Many regard Klasnic as one of the most rapidly improving players to hail from Croatia, and his free transfer fee could represent great value for the talented forward.
There will be many other sides in the hunt for the player though, and it is understood that Roma too are interested in Klasnic.
