Betis want Riquelme

Real Betis are contemplating a January transfer move for Argentinian international midfielder Juan Roman Riquelme. The player himself (under contract at Villarreal) has indicated he is eager to return to Argentina with Boca Juniors.

Outspoken Real Betis boss Héctor Cúper has told Spanish press, "I would want Riquelme."

Villarreal may let the player leave for an estimated £7m in January, and Cúper will be eager to snap up his fellow countryman.
