Roma eye Nery Castillo

Roma have reportedly joined Real Betis in the queue to sign Manchester City's flop Nery Castillo. The Mexican striker is set to quit City after Mark Hughes told him he was surplus to requirements.

Roma are now prepared to match Manchester City's £6 million asking price as they continue their summer transfer campaign.

Real Betis have already had a £5 million offer rejected for the player.

Man City are believed to be set to make an offer for Roque Santa Cruz.
