Scolari hits out at Chelsea
Luiz Felipe Scolari has revealed that he was unhappy with his players, despite the 4-0 demolition of Bordeaux in the Champions League last night. The Brazilian was disappointed with some mistakes made in the second half.
Scolari said: âWe made many mistakes in the second half. When you play very well and win itâs better â but today we didnât play very well at all. We tried to attack every time without good connections.
âBut after this we controlled the game and scored the goals.
âWhen you play in the Champions League and youâre 2-0 up at half-time you have to work harder.
âYou need to control the game more and we didnât control it very well in the second half.
âI donât want three, four or five nil â 2-0 is the same three points. We need to be in control of the game.
âThey wanted to make more goals. When you want to make goals without good connection you give a chance to the opposing team.
âBordeaux only had two shots but they had more time with the ball than us and we won the game. But we have enough experience to know this.
âWe could have been caught. We received one booking because we lost many balls in the middle. Other teams, arriving in front of goal quicker, might have hurt us.
âIf theyâd had more quality, it would have been dangerous for us.â
