Fergie: we won't rush Saha
Man Utd boss Sir Alex Ferguson has recently praised Louis Saha and spoke of his importance to the team. Today, Sir Alex said that he will not rush Louis Saha into first team action despite almost reaching full fitness.
Saha has only played a third of Man Utd's games since he joined in January 2004, and the injury-prone player has had a terrible run of luck at Old Trafford.
"We are playing a long game here," explained Ferguson.
"It is a long season and one panicky move now could easily mean more serious trouble later.
"We have been cautious with Saha. Half a game against Sunderland, 30 minutes at Everton and 20 minutes in Portugal.
"What you must remember is that Louis has been out for eight months and that our objective has been to ease him back in."
