Given demands signings

Long time Newcastle goalie Shay Given has demanded Sam Allardyce dip into the transfer market and replace the outgoing players that have recently left the club. Shay has said that the squad is the thinnest it has been for a while; after the departures of Bramble, Onyewu, Bernard and Moore.

Geremi is believed to have been purchased to fill in at a defensive role, and Rozenhal is too a solid defender signed from PSG. However Given believes there is still room for 1 or 2 more players in the defensive department.
