Tottenham make Materazzi bid

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has apparently made an offer for Inter Milan central defender Marco Materazzi. Spurs' representatives are rumoured to be in Milan thrashing out a deal for the veteran.

The 35 year old has spent 8 seasons at Inter Milan, but is now keen to make a move elsewhere.

Spurs could offer around 1.5 million GBP to Inter to persuade Jose Mourinho into a sale, as the Lilywhites look to shore up their leaky defence.

A midweek injury to Ledley King has added to the requirement to sign a replacement for the centre back.
