Davenport to Sunderland?

West Ham centre back Callum Davenport is in advanced negotiations with Sunderland. It is understood that the Black Cats are set to pay £3 million to land the former Spurs defender.

The former England under-21 international is desperate to try his luck elsewhere, after falling out of favour in Gianfranco Zola's Hammers side.

A move to the Stadium of Light will give him the opportunity of regular first-team football again.
