Man City in with chance for Tevez

Manchester City could well have a good chance of landing Argentina international Carlos Tevez in the summer, if Manchester United fail to take up on their options to sign the player.

“The Champions League is the biggest [league] but Carlos isn't the kind of person that says ‘I have to play for this club, in this situation',” the owner of the player rights, Kia Joorabchian said.

“He wants to go to a club that has a real ambition and focus to be champions of England, Europe and anywhere.”

Man City are expected to have as much as £50 million to spend on new talent in the summer.
