Elano to West Ham?

West Ham are interested in signing Man City midfielder Elano on a season-long loan. Hammers boss Gianfranco Zola is a big fan of the Brazilian international, and is keen to add the player to his squad in time for pre-season.

The Brazilian has found himself on the fringes of the Man City first-team of late, and with the expected arrival of more players at the City of Manchester, Elano will find his opportunities even more limited.

The Hammers are prepared to pay £1 million to bring the player on loan for the season, and then another fee with a view to a permanent deal.
