Sunderland's Crouch bid accepted
Portsmouth has reportedly accepted a £12m bid for English striker Peter Crouch. Sunderland boss Steve Bruce is hoping to convince the tall centre forward to move to the North East.
Sunderland owner Ellis Short stated that he could meet Crouch's £70,000 a week demand which would make him the highest paid player in the club's history. Although Crouch would like to move to Fulham if Portsmouth is selling him, but the london club might not be able to pay his wages.
The Black Cats are also set to sign Craig Bellamy from Man City.
