Birmingham want Michael Johnson
Birmingham City are looking at making a bid for Man City's wantaway young midfielder Michael Johnson. There has been plenty of paper talk this morning claiming that Johnson could quit the club if an offer of £4 million is received.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is a known admirer of the England under-21 midfielder, but Alex McLeish could offer Johnson immediate first-team football, something that the player is very keen on.
Birmingham have an estimated £15 million left to spend on new players as they prepare for life back in the Premiership for 2009/2010.
