City locked in talks for Toure

Man City are locked in talks for the signing of Ivory Coast international defender Kolo Toure. According to reports, Arsenal have been discussing a financial package for the centre back over the weekend.

It is believed that Arsenal are looking for a fee in the region of 18 million GBP for Toure, but Man City will not offer more than 13 million GBP at this stage.

Toure is also being tracked by a number of other teams on the continent, but Toure is keen to link up with his former Arsenal team mate Emmanuel Adebayor at The City of Manchester Stadium.

If Arsenal and City agree terms for the player, it is understood a deal could well be completed before the end of the month.
