Arsenal boss battles injury list

Ahead of Arsenal's trip to Sunderland, eyefootball has been looking into the Gunners' extensive injury list as they prepare to stay at the top of the table and keep the pressure on Chelsea.

Goalkeepers:

LUKASZ FABIANSKI - Thigh injury, return expected November.

KIERAN GIBBS - Ankle injury, may return in time for the next game.

ARMAND TRAORE - Groin injury, could be back in the squad next time.

GAEL CLICHY - Back injury, may not return until January. Clichy picked up a strange back injury and has not appeared for over 5 games.

JOHAN DJOUROU - groin injury, not expected to be back until March 2010.

DENILSON - back injury, could return for the Sunderland game.

JACK WILSHERE - ankle injury, may return for the next game.

ABOU DIABY - calf injury. may not return until December.

ROBIN VAN PERSIE - ankle injury, may not reappear for up to six weeks.

NICKLAS BENDTNER - groin injury, not expected to return until December.

CARLOS VELA - knee injury, but on the cusp of a return.

THEO WALCOTT - knee injury, may return in two weeks.
