Arsenal to swoop for Barnetta
Tranquillo Barnetta has emerged as a target for Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger. The Swiss international is valued by his club Bayer Leverkusen at around £9 million. Wenger has been scouting the youngster for several years and is believed to have made an offer for the player 3 years ago.
In Switzerland, many believe Barnetta is the best player to emerge from Swiss football for over 10 years.
Barnetta, 24, has played for his current club Bayer Leverkusen since 2005.
There are believed to be several other clubs tracking the winger, with Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan known to have an interest.
