Man City: Vieira Lyon talk rubbish

Man City's new signing Patrick Vieira has slammed talk that he was close to joining Lyon. Vieira has joined Manchester City on loan until the end of the season, when the club have the option to make the move permanent.

"I never had any offer from Lyon," the former Arsenal man told Canal TV.

"I believe they wanted to evade their current sport difficulties by trying to sell fake stories to their fans.

"That is a lack of respect."
