Liverpool director apologises
Axed Liverpool board member Tom Hicks Jr. has offered his sincerest apologies to a Reds supporter after he sent him a vicious e-mail. The fan had sent Hicks Jr an email hitting out at lack of transfer funds for Reds coach Rafa Benitez.
Tom Hicks Jr was moved off of the board this morning in an effort to keep Liverpool fans on side.
"I have great respect for Liverpool Football Club, especially the club's supporters," said a Hicks Jr statement.
"I apologise for my mistake and I am very sorry for my harmful words.
"I do not want my actions to take away from the club's future, therefore I am resigning from the board.
"To the fans and to the club, please accept my sincerest apologies."
