Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has apparently stepped up his interest in French youngster Jeremy Menez. The player is out of favour at Roma, and Benitez is ready to swoop.

Menez is a midfielder cum striker who has always been touted as the future of French football.

Menez is on the fringes of Roma's squad, but Benitez is ready to land the Frenchman after a glowing recommendation from his network of scouts.
