Julio Cesar rules out Man Utd move
Brazilian first choice goalkeeper Julio Cesar has played down talk of a transfer to Premiership champions Man Utd this summer from Inter Milan. According to reports, United were lining up the shot stopper as the long term replacement for retired keeper Edwin van der Sar.
There had been reports in England on Saturday afternoon that Julio Cesar was Sir Alex Ferguson's new favorite to replace van der Sar, however the keeper himself was quick to rule out the speculation.
The keeper said: "Roma have tested the waters with me, they were really interested. But I decided to stay at Inter until 2014, which is when my contract expires. So, the story is closed. I'd like my name to disappear from the pages of transfers. No Roma, no Manchester United, no nothing. Now I want to beat AC Milan and win back the Scudetto. Also, I'd like to win the Champions League again."
Julio Cesar ruling out the move now may mean that Sir Alex turns his attention back to Atletico Madrid goalkeeper David De Gea.
