Liverpool linked with Chivu

Liverpool may make an offer for Romanian international Cristian Chivu. The 30 year old has been with current club Inter Milan since 2007, and reportedly has only one year left on his contract.

So far, Chivu has stalled on a new contract offer, indicating that his future may lie elsewhere.

Inter Milan are not prepared to lose the left back on a free transfer; and so a number of clubs have expressed an interest in the player.

Liverpool will offer 5.5m GBP according to reports.
