Everton favorites to sign Bothroyd

Everton are the favorites to sign former Cardiff City striker Jay Bothroyd, who left the club after his contract expired last month.

The England international striker has been linked with a range of sides, including Newcastle, QPR and Stoke; however it seems that Everton boss David Moyes will win the race for the player.

It is believed that Everton have only 2m GBP to spend this summer.

Bothroyd will be offered a 40,000 GBP per week contract.
