Gael Clichy nears Man City move

Gael Clichy is undergoing a medical in Manchester today, and will complete a move to Man City in a £7.5m deal. Clichy, whose contract will expire with Arsenal next summer, had been told he could leave the Emirates.

Clichy is expected to arrive for a medical at 1pm today, where he will undergo a 3 hour session with Man CIty's medical staff.

Arsenal have turned their attentions to Aly Cissokho of Lyon and Jose Enrique of Newcastle as a replacement. However, Wenger is also prepared to throw youngster Kieron Gibbs into the first team next year if he misses out on signing a replacement.

Clichy will pen a 5 year contract with the Citizens, that will net him nearly double the salary that he took home at Arsenal.
